Every year in October, while nature displays its warm autumn colours and its most beautiful and tasty fruits, the inhabitants of Val di Non, the apples valley of Trentino, are busy with the seasonal harvest.
In order to celebrate this beautiful time, on the second weekend of October, Val di Non becomes the natural backdrop of POMARIA, the most famous apple harvest festival of the region!
An extraordinary event celebrating apples in their many guises: visitors can pick apples directly from the tree, learn how to prepare strudel and other traditional apple recipes, taste different varieties of apples… But Pomaria is much than that! Alongside apples, the festival offers many other activities: representations of ancient crafts, wine and food tasting, authentic experiences, show cooking, guided tours…
Pomaria is family-friendly, with plenty of entertaining activities for kids of all ages: traditional games, educational workshops and fairy tales to discover the secrets of apples and to get to know the wonders of nature.
Pomaria is organized by the “Apple and Flavours Route of Val di Non and Val di Sole”, in partnership with Val di Non Tourism Board, Melinda, and local organisations and institutions.
